through a random series of events, i discovered that fileplanet wants me to play WoW for free for a couple of days. isn't that nice of them? they even included the mac version of the game in the gi-normous 2gb download. it's the whole damn game. you get 10 days, 20 levels, and a handful of restrictions to keep you from using free accounts as mules, farmers, whatever. i have lots of posts queued up regarding nanowrimo, thanksgiving, work, at&t, etc etc. but um...yeah. wow's almost patched so um..it's time to play with the character builder until bedtime. i totally should have waited until christmas break before starting my 10 days but um...there's only so much delayed gratification a girl can stand. oh, and if you see ryan in the next 10 days, tell him hi for me, okay?

i can easily see WoW pulling you in like CoH did. you may as well pay for the full version now, because as soon as you installed the trial you became one of them.

it's only a matter of time before janit0r joins you.

i think if given the choice between playing karaoke or wow with me to appease me, he'd pick karaoke every single time, and not just cuz it's cheaper.

the jury is still way out on whether or not i'll be picking it up for real. i can hardly justify the $15/month fee, and the $50 game on top of it is just harsh. i've considered asking for it for christmas, but really, that's just saying "someone else buy me something that's useless" and that ain't cool.

(valid account name? maybe that'll make more sense once i get out from behind this company's crap-tastic firewall)

it's an offer to buy the game for only $20, but can only be given by an existing subscriber, hence the valid account name to use.

yeah, i caught it once i got home. the site is (logically) blocked from work. stupid work getting in the way of my wow time.

the deal's not as great as it might have been last week. amazon (and i'm assuming other retailers) dropped the price to $30 less than 24 hours after i picked up the trial. it's like they knew i was coming.
